Mount Vernon runners will be lacing up their sneakers for the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Run Walk. The race starts bright and early at 7 a.m. at Hartley Park.
It's being co-hosted by the city and Junior League of Bronxville and New York-Presbyterian.
Elmsford is hosting a Turkey Bowl at Carol Nichols Park. Local fathers organized it to bring the community together. The tournament features a youth flag football league - Mad Dog Sports - and starts at 8:30 a.m.
Get your forks ready - 1,000 warm meals will be served by volunteers in Greenburgh on Thursday. The dinner starts at 11:30 a.m. at Greenburgh Health Center.
