Six people have been displaced following a house fire at 248 Somerville Place in Yonkers.

According to fire officials, the blaze originated from a power strip igniting a mattress in one of the bedrooms.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the displaced residents are receiving assistance from the Yonkers Office of Emergency Management.
