AAA: Country could face gas shortage during 4th of July weekend

The travel experts say that a shortage of tank truck drivers, as well as a surge in pandemic-related travel, is causing supply chain issues.

With more than 43 million Americans projected to hit the road for the 4th of July weekend, AAA is warning that the U.S. could be facing a gas shortage.
The travel experts say that a shortage of tank truck drivers, as well as a surge in pandemic-related travel, is causing supply chain issues.
The Pacific northwest and northern California are already reporting shortages. No shortages have been reported in the Hudson Valley at this time.
Nationwide, prices at the pump are also the highest they've been since 2014 at $3.10 per gallon.
