Attorney General Letitia James is taking a stand against housing discrimination and working to protect low-income tenants in Westchester County.
Tuesday, James announced an agreement with real estate company Platzer International Group and its owners after discovering they had denied housing to low-income New Yorkers with Section 8 housing choice vouchers.
As a result, Platzer International Group is required to allocate 20 of its units for applicants using Section 8 vouchers or other housing subsidies.
Additionally, the company must waive broker fees for any prospective tenant utilizing housing subsidies for the next five years.
Platzer International Group owns and manages over 200 residential units primarily in Pelham Manor, New Rochelle, and Rye.
