Hudson Valley scholars triumph in Regeneron Science Talent Search

Two Hudson Valley scholars are celebrating a major win as they were named "Top 10 Winners" in this year's Regeneron Science Talent Search.

Thomas Cong from Ossining High School in Ossining, New York, secured second place with a $175,000 reward. Christopher Zorn from Irvington High School in Irvington, New York, claimed sixth place with an $80,000 prize.

The winners were selected based on their impactful science research and its potential for societal change.

The duo spent a week in Washington, D.C., meeting with educational leaders before the award ceremony at the National Building Museum.

Out of a pool of two thousand applicants, they emerged in the top 40, showcasing their excellence in the field of science.
