Police say several customers at a Dunkin' Donuts in Spring Valley narrowly escaped injury Thursday when a minivan jumped the curb and plowed into the building.
Officials say the elderly driver of the minivan suffered a stroke behind the wheel on Route 45 around 5 p.m.
Surveillance video captured the hectic scene as the driver lost control and slammed through the front window of the doughnut shop.
Police at the scene said they were surprised that no customers were injured. The elderly driver, whose identity has not been released, was hospitalized.
