(AP) - About 350 family members, friends and fellow soldiers gathered in a suburban Albany mosque to say goodbye toMohsin Naqvi, a U.S. Army officer killed last week in Afghanistan.

Naqvi, who was 26, was in a group of five soldiers killed by aroadside bomb while on patrol. Aziz Ahsan, a family friend whoattended Monday's funeral service, says Naqvi was bornin Pakistan, immigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 8years old and became an American citizen at age 16.

He was memorialized during a Shia Muslim prayer service andburied in a nearby cemetery with military honors.

Naqvi - who often served as an interpreter - did a tour of dutyin Iraq as an Army reservist before enlisting for active duty andbecoming a first lieutenant.
