New York is now partnering with neighboring states to share gun crime data.

The governors of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania joined together Thursday to sign an agreement to share data.

They say it's an effort to reduce gun violence and improve public safety.

Gov. Kathy Hochul says the collaboration will help local police departments.

"Where are the guns coming from? How are getting on our streets and why is there such a disproportionate impact on young people in particularly in communities of color who are being the victims of gun violence?" asked Hochul.

On Saturday, a 17-year-old Bronx teen was shot in the neck next to H. Boo Wilson Park on Tuckahoe Road.

Yonkers police are still searching for the gunman.
