A man and woman are facing charges after police say they witnessed a drug deal between the two in Stratford.

It happened Wednesday near the Honeyspot Motel on Honeyspot Road.

Police say detectives saw Brandi Lee Chiero purchase crack cocaine from Gregory Shawn Thompson, who was in a green Honda.

Following the purchase, officers detained Chiero while Thompson was pulled over several streets away.

Chiero's charges included illegal possession of crack cocaine, tampering with evidence and violation of conditions of release.

Her bond was set $10,000.00

Chiero is expected to appear in court Nov. 4.

Thompson faces numerous charges including illegal sales of crack cocaine, criminal possession of ammunition and illegal possession of a high capacity magazine.

Thompson is being held on $75,000 bond.
