For the first time in weeks, gas prices have leveled off.
The cost of a barrel of oil fell more than 8%, down to $99.76.
It's the first time oil has dipped below $100 since March 1.
Traders say the drop is mostly coming from COVID-19 lockdowns in China - and possible progress between Ukraine and Russia in their peace talks.
Drivers also saw that change at the pump on Monday.
According to AAA, the average in New York is at $4.44 - a 2 cent drop from last Thusday.
