A Rockland County man has pleaded guilty to raping a woman in Suffern last year.
The Rockland County District Attorney's Office says Jose Pirir Morales attacked the victim as she was walking home in the village.
The assault happened in September 2025.
Morales, 27, pleaded guilty to rape and is expected to be sentenced in October.
Prosecutors say he is expected to receive five years in prison.
Authorities say Morales will also be required to register as a sex offender following his release.
