Finding ways to cut the cost of sending your kids back can be stressful. There are many things you need to pay for before you child steps into the school building, but there are ways to cut cots.
Experts found that parents are expecting to spend $592 on average for their children’s school supplies. That includes backpacks, clothing, haircuts or doctor’s visit.
Corrie Wagner of Savings.com says in their recent study they found parents to be anxious about the big tab.

“So we found that 54% of parents this year are very concerned that rising costs might prevent them from affording all the items their children need. That's up from 46% last year, which was a bit surprising because inflation has cooled a bit since last summer. It reached an all time high in 2022, but I think that could be due to a number of factors, the rising level of concern,” says Wagner. One way to save is to shop the tax-free days.
Back-to-school health checklist for 2023
Experts say you can purchase clothing and footwear and it would be tax exempt up to $100. New Jersey starts on Aug.26. You can get school supplies, construction material if you're a teacher or electronic computers and that would be exempt up to $3,000.
