Mexican national extradited to Westchester on rape charges

yesterdayA 52-year-old Mexican national, wanted on rape and assault charges, has been extradited to Westchester County, the Westchester District Attorney's Office announced.
Prosecutors say Galo Herrera allegedly raped a girl under the age of 13 between 2006 and 2007.
Herrera fled the jurisdiction before he could be arrested.
He was indicted in 2008.
Herrera pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to the County Jail.
