A man from the Bronx is facing charges for alleged identity theft in Yorktown, according to authorities.
Police say a teller at Chase Bank on Lee Boulevard was approached by a man trying to cash a check with a Connecticut license. The teller reported him to police after recognizing him as the same man who used a different name earlier in the month.
Police say the man had a fake license and was trying to take money from someone else’s account. They also found he withdrew $8,000 from a second person’s account earlier this month.
He has been arraigned on several charges including grand larceny and is due back in court next week, according to authorities.
