Police in the City of Poughkeepsie have identified the victim in last week's fatal shooting.

Officials say Darren Villani, 28, was shot to death on Mansion Street, not far from College Hill Park.

Police are also looking into a second shooting in the area. In that shooting, a 44-year-old was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

It's not clear if the shootings are related. Both are still under investigation.
